It has come to our attention that a few companies whom we recommend to blow-in or deliver our products are not using our products, but, in fact, are using inferior products. We take great pride in our hard work maintaining our high-quality products. Our mission is for you, our customers, to use safe products for your gardens and around your family and animals. Our mulches and soils are tested for heavy metals and pathogens. The products we sell are the same products we personally use at our own homes. Please be aware, when using a third party to deliver a de Jong product to always ask to see the receipt from the original supplier. We ALWAYS give any purchasers a pink receipt. This receipt will show the product, as well as the quantity sold. We have proudly stood by the de Jong family name since 1950.

 

Dumping Fee for Manure ~ Keep it clean, Still no GREEN, and NO ROCKS, Manure & Bedding only!

You haul customers: effective December 1, 2011 there will be a fee to dump your horse manure. At the Lowell Larimer Plant in Snohomish we will charge by the ton, and at our Lake Stevens yard it will be charged by the yard. All fees will be collected at the time of dump. No charges! Cash or Credit Card ONLY! Call for prices!

If there is anything we don't carry that you would like us to carry, let us know. We might be able to get it!

How much do I need? Measure your areas: Length' Width' Depth' and give us a call: we will help you figure it out. 

The secret to a beautiful lawn is water transition. Grass likes 6 inches of good sandy soil and does not like layering. It is always better to incorporate the new soil with the old soil to avoid layering if you can't add 6" of new soil. So if you are putting a couple inches of new soil down till it in (if you can) with what you all ready have to get good water transition then pack it. If using seed the seed goes on top of the soil then finish up with a very light hand spread amount of Fertil Mulch©. to help keep the birds away and to help retain moisture.

We sell PRODUCT do your homework, consult a lawn professional and do it right the first time. You will save yourself a lot of time, money and headache. Don't be afraid to ask your installer about their background, grass installation and lawn maintenance is an 8 year degree.

de Jong Sawdust & Shavings began delivering animal bedding to local ranches and farms in 1950. Sixty-Nine "70" years later we are still delivering sawdust, shavings, hog fuel, and landscaping products to customers all over King, Snohomish, Island, and Skagit counties. We have yards in Redmond and Lake Stevens where we store our products and customers can haul and load their own at ONLY our Lake Stevens yard. All of our shavings and sawdust are stored under-cover so you know you will get a good quality loads of Shavings or Sawdust all year long. All of our bedding products are produced at local sawmills so you know that you are supporting the local economy.

We also have a recycling program that allows our customers who buy from us to bring their manure and used bedding to a yard in Snohomish or Lake Stevens. The manure is then composted with sawdust and cow manure to make Fertil Mulch, or composted with Chicken manure to make our Chicken -n- Chips. By using and promoting the use of either our Fertil Mulch or our Chicken -n- Chips you are helping to recycle animal waste products from local farms.
